I have always enjoyed visiting Yosemite’s high country. Usually quieter, cooler, and less congested, it offers more of a sense of solitude (especially in the evenings) than one can find in the valley.
And on those nights when the new moon approaches and clouds remain at bay, it offers scenes such as this. Skies filled with stars. And the Milky Way resplendent as it hovers over Clouds Rest. Or should we call it Stars Rest?
