By the time you read this post, I will have just returned from visiting one of my favorite places to photograph—Olympic National Park—where, several years ago, I created the Photo of the Week you see above.
Created at Hurricane Ridge, it’s one of several photos taken at the same location on consecutive mornings. Despite similar atmospheric conditions each morning—cool coastal temperatures that caused heavy fog in the valleys below the high mountain road—nature created a slightly different scene on successive outings. Pastel colors one day. High clouds suffused with yellow light the next.
